The Truth about running an online business
Being an online marketer and running an internet based business it is sometimes difficult to be brutally honest with some of my clients.
A lot of people expect that once you have a website created the money will come pouring in without you having to do anything else with it.
Sadly, this is not true, especially when you are competing with billions of other websites. There is money to be made and leads to be created online but you have to be consistent and dedicated to what you are doing.
If you are running an ecommerce shop and want to get customers using Facebook then you have to be involved with Facebook on a daily basis.
I recently helped a business called Rikos Spanish Baby Boutique by creating their Facebook banner for them, they now have over 1800 active followers. This was not luck but consistent work with Facebook and interaction with there customers. This business is now looking forward to opening a shop due to their hard work and success, not luck.
I see so many people who create a Facebook Page but never use it? They say they want to generate money from Facebook and you give them all the help and information you can but if you don’t go on then it won’t magically work for you.
The same can be said for when you are looking to generate new clients, many people just send out one email that doesn’t receive a reply so they give up! Human mentality needs interaction and familiarity so you need to send about 7 to 10 emails to the same person before they will generally get back to you.
The beauty of that is you can use Microsoft Outlook to schedule emails a week apart so sit down and plan a series of 10 emails, load them into outlook and let the computer remember to send them.
